What software to use for bug fixing? Server & Client side

I know OlldDBG, but someone mentioned that MS Visual studio could be used to further dev/fix bugs on files.


Any other software? I don't know a thing of C++ but I'd love to learn to have a truly bugless server pack of my liking.
