1.4.5 v69 (client version 670) elements.data problem.
Okay so I just got my 1st v145 server set up with some help.
Now I have ran into trouble, which I quite don't understand.
Info:
Server version: 1.4.5 (v69) Reflection
Client version: 1.4.5 (v670)
I am using the tools that are provided here: PWTOOLS
What I have tested and is working on v69:
I first tested NPCGEN, it worked just wonderfully. Then I attempted to test out sELedit, it opened the elements.data file without any problems. I saved it. (*Question) then I uploaded the file to server and to client. At this point I launched the server everything started without any problems and is running, but once I attempted to launch client it crashed in the launching process. So I am wondering perhaps I did something wrong when I saved the file.
What I did with the file:
I edited Frozen Head exp value, sp value, coin drop vaules.
Then I used save as and saved the file.
*Question : As I understand 1.4.5 uses the same client files as server does, unlike 136 where I had to save client side and server side separately.
If you have any questions please let me know.

Well I did not check the logs I was 100% sure that elements.data was causing it to crash

Download elements.7z from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
this is mine, I don't remember if it's clean though..
(you could have overwrote it like I did on my FW server..)
Re: 1.4.5 v69 (client version 670) elements.data problem.
I think I didn't explain my problem clearly. What I was looking for in the answer was in one way an explanation. How to correctly edit elements.data file, so that it wouldn't cause any problems.
Edit: By editing I mean how to correctly save it, for v69 sever, and v670 client.

Tutorial here - http://forum.ragezone.com/f695/noob-...ts-xml-619219/
This is why it's always good to start with 136 files from 343 and move on to other versions of servers once you become proficient and if you so choose to.
Re: 1.4.5 v69 (client version 670) elements.data problem.
You don't understand. I do not require a tutorial on how to edit the elements.data file. Read the edit in my previous post, I want to know if the client and server on v69 uses the same elements.data file.
If yes, then what could have caused the client to crash.
If no, in this case I don't understand why slEdit on this site doesn't have exporting rules, as 343's had?

no, that's not false on elements.data,, your memory isn't enough for run the client.
some client got bugtrap if you excessive edit on EXP values.

Finally a decent answer. I will attempt to be more careful with the experience change.

Also does it have any limitation to the exp editing values ? Which would not be recommended to be over written?
