Help Creating 1.4.x Server

Hello, I'm new here, and I've been wanting to create a PW server for a while, but never got to try it until now.
I searched the topics and everything, but most of the files are offline, and the tutorials I found are not clear enough of what to do step-by-step.

I only want the all files needed, the programs I need, and what to do to set it up and run it, everything else I think I can figure it out later by thinkering and modifying the files, like I did when I made a Mu Private Server ages ago.

you want 1.4.x server... and which one? 1.4.4 or 1.4.5 base descent or 1.4.5 reflection?
all neccessary tools can be found in forum, use keywords "pw tools", use your brain for usage
you need a linux, its depend on you
you need anyone for set up your server, you need a teamviewer... ah wait probably nobody will do for you

I searched it, links are either dead, or link to a chinese sharing file site in which I can't understand and can't download. Check the topic you linked to, the file link is dead.
Also, it was pretty obvious by my OP (which you didn't read because you are either lazy or simply can't read) that I never did this before, thus I needed a more clear guide to where to start.
You can't just throw advanced stuff on a beginner's face and say 'hey, you don't get it? GTFO then'.
How I'm why supposed to understand that without even knowing what it is, what it does and where to to use those commands without even knowing what I need to start?

It's also obvious by the 'X' on the title that it doesn't matter which version comes after the 1.4, as long as it is 1.4.

I don't, I just want a basic idea on where to start, or to point on the right direction.
I'm gonna say it again, I never did this before, so how am I supposed to do anything without some sort of directions and dead links?
Linking to a topic with a bunch of codes with zero explanation isn't gonna help someone who never did this before.

you does not need more explanation for start. ijs if you never worked on pw, recommended to start at 1.3.6 section. its old? yea, but more easier then 1.4.X, and in 343's topic you can get everything, since is most populated topic ever

Next time, link directly to a specific post, because unlike you, I read the OP.

Not trying to be smart, but if you have never done this before 1.4.x is not where to start. Start with 343's 1.3.6 package, learn it in and out the move up to newer files.

:lol: Everything you needed to know to get the server up was in that first post. I recommend you do what I did and start with 343's complete package. It might be 1.3.6 but as you have no clue what to do it's the best place for you to start as there is instructions and even a video guide that walks you through the whole installation. I didn't have a clue when I first started and I learnt a lot from 343's package, even just cracking open his automated installation scripts taught me things. So go start there.
