Cant connect to update server.

Hi i am new to this whole server setup and got through it all. Master server starts fine, supervisor one aswell. The only problem i have at the moment is i cant connect to the update server, even locally.

Can someone tell me what i need to check for this problem and where the file is.

ok i will give that a try but another thing i forgot to mention is that in the compile i told it to go to my router ip address. so i think the problem is that my iis is not connected to my router for incoming connections.

If you want it to work in LAN, you'll need to use the IP of the machine hosting the server.
Are you compiling the community edition source code?

oh sorry i didnt realise there was a community edition. Do i need this for people connecting externally, this is all new to me.

You can do it with the original source code too, but you'll have to overwrite a lot of IP redirecting code. The community edition source code already has most of those codes modified.

oh right then, well i just followed the tutorial with the original source code. and places where he put his ip i put my ip aswell. But i think my router is configured to connect to my iis server. How do i do that.

You from the UK Lewis? Specifically South West perhaps?

The tutorial should be followed with the community edition source code. Read the edit I made to my previous post.

sorry was just wanting to get my problem fixed, also where are you from then i can tell you if you know me.

ehm recompile rsupdater and build the launcher again should work after that
