Favorite Franchise/Series?
What is your favorite franchise/series of games? Can be of any generation or system.
Mine would have to be Final Fantasy. All of the Final Fantasy games from 1 on up to 9 were the best games I've ever played. Not too much of a fan of the newer ones but they're not bad.
After Final Fantasy comes Need for Speed, then probably Call of Duty off the top of my head.
Re: Favorite Franchise/Series?
Fallout Series. Great Stories, Gameplay, and an amazing RPG.
Re: Favorite Franchise/Series?
Not sure if it is anyone else's but Shenmue on SEGA Dreamcast sealed that for me years ago. It was a game way ahead of its time. Man I loved playing that day in and out.
And my next favorite is probably the Mass Effect series. Great storyline and gameplay.
Re: Favorite Franchise/Series?
Total war. It just does everything right for me game play wise and I love the eras in which the various games are set.
Re: Favorite Franchise/Series?
I really love The Elder Scrolls series, especially IV.
Re: Favorite Franchise/Series?
Legend of Heroes gagharv trilogy, because the plot is too awesome and sure isn't that easy to beat the game
Final Fantasy I to X, battle system and story were always awesome, too bad the games were too easy.. to me atleast
And the Ys Series i liked the most
Re: Favorite Franchise/Series?

Easy choice, Grand Theft Auto, been playing it since GTA: London. Although, I really do enjoy Fallout, and the Elder Scrolls series. :):

GTA is a great series as well, I'm just hoping they step it up and don't rush to finish GTA V.
Off-Topic:
I think they just wanted to get a GTA out for the 360 and PS3 when they released GTA IV. It wasn't like the old games there were very few cheat codes, not much to do other than the same things over and over again (killing, shooting, driving, and little things in missions), and after about an hour of just messing around, it gets boring. I'm hoping that in GTA V they make the online like Red Dead Redemption with Free Roam, but they should leave more features in Free Roam.

Forgot about GTA, that's my favorite game series of all time.
Can't wait for GTA V. They won't rush anything, that's why it was delayed until September to polish it and add extra content. Rockstar also said that there will be much more to do in multiplayer than in Gta IV, I hope we'll get to do heists online. :)

I had preordered GTA V and it pissed me off having to wait months for it but I suppose I'm still looking forward to it!
Re: Favorite Franchise/Series?
The Fable series are pretty nice, though I only played Fable 1.
Re: Favorite Franchise/Series?
C&C, up to and including Red Alert 2. Once Westwood got killed by EA, the series turned meh. RA2 is still one of my fav games of all time.

Almost forgot about those. I've never played Fable One, but Fable 2 has an amazing single player, and Fable 3 has a nearly perfect co-op multiplayer/singleplayer. I hope in their future releases they allow you to play with more players online as a group and combine your money if you please. :P
Re: Favorite Franchise/Series?
Ill always stick to Half Life 2. I just can't find a game with such a story , gameplay , and graphics that were stunning on early PC's +999 to Valve for that.
