I don't...I might say happy Father's Day and a bottle of wine but since he messed up this family in the way he did I will not be doing it with expression of love. The day he shows he loves me and think if me for a change is the day I give such love back. :(
I don't, he's done terribly selfish things and made life very hard for the "family" he ran away from.
That being said my advice is always to get a meaningful gift, something that is needed or at least wanted :)
I have found Fathers Day hard this yes, i've been fortunate since the age of two to have two men i could call Dad, only going into shops and buying one card and present this year has felt a little strange to say the least, got my step father a card and a bottle of aftershave and my Dad would say if he was here, a card and pair of socks would be just fine love lol. Would always say the same thing, would have to get him his favourite though.....a box or bag of Jelly Babies :)
I don't, he's either in prison, having kids or in the looney bin

It's (sadly) a pretty common thing. I haven't seen my dad in at least, let's see.. I wanna say at least the last 3 years, as he left my mom and brother and I (or rather kicked us out of "HIS house" I should say) when I was around 14 or so. I have love and respect for him as my father, but that's as far as that'll ever go so even if we were in touch I'd probably just wish him a happy fathers day and maybe ask him to stop drinking and snorting for a chance of possibly rebuilding some sort of relationship.Quote:

hahahah, Although I know it's pretty common, but I'm still pretty surprised to see over 90% of this thread has father issues. Including me. Mine has been dead to me since I was oh say 14,15,16 I forget. He did some shit under no premise that was highly uncalled for. You don't get 2nd chances with me. Nope. Fuck up like that once and I'm done with you. Hopefully he's dead somewhere, or close to it.
