First of all, you posted in the incorrect section, it should be posted in the GunZ Online section and not GunZ Releases. But to answer your question, the source code is required so you can make custom and unique changes to the client, if you can code c++ the possibilities of what you can add to the source is limitless.

In order to edit the source code you will require Visual Studio 2003, this is so you can make changes, and to build the source into a single file (the Gunz.exe file)

How to link Source code with the client and there is a video tutorial how to do this?

There are lots of tutorials on how to add certain things check the releases section for loads of things. And when you go to build the source it all goes into an .exe file which you simply put into your client and you're done.
