Re: Your best training music
I think that pretty much depends on what you usually listen to.
For example, I listen to hard music such as hardstyle while training because it gives me a nice adrenaline boost.
Re: Your best training music
Nah, what I listen to usually doesn't work for gym or running. It's too chill; lounge, dubstep, some contemporary hits etc...
You're right though it does depend a bit. I wouldn't listen to heavy metal or such even at gym although many people do.
Re: Your best training music
Maybe something with alot of bass, and alot of pace an rythm
Re: Your best training music
Come on now. I know the type of music I want to hear, give me concrete songs or playlists to check out!

Re: Your best training music
Good thread! Usually when I'm training it's whatever is playing at the gym so it'l be some kind of HipHop, dance or rap but I'll attach a screeny of a few tracks I've been throwing on my mp3 player for runs and bike rides.
Re: Your best training music
A very nice list, Lee! Many familiar songs I could certainly take on a run with me... however most of them have the problem of vocals and/or too definitive melody. Maybe it's just me, but when a song isn't kind of plain enough and gets too easy to remember it becomes boring. If I'm to have 30 tracks to play on my runs through the year something like that isn't going to cut it - I'll want to skip a song I know too well. So I'm thinking the best tracks will be something more ambient - unless of course I have hundreds of songs on my playlist. So I guess I'm targeting both points here.
Re: Your best training music
Here some hard songs. As requested, most of them don't have any vocals (or close to none, because the songs I'm about to post are classified as "raw hardstyle").
Hardstyle isn't a very popular genre yet around the world because it can be a bit too hard to some people and I completely understand it if you hate it, but I love it.

I think we're forgetting an all-time classic here. If you watch the video, then listen to the song when you workout, it's an awesome mental image.

Re: Your best training music
I usually listen to something I find very energetic, for obvious reasons. It's usually Electronic music. I have some playlists if you would like to try them. Just put them on shuffle and go. I'd start at #3, the lower, the older the songs are.
House #3
House #2
House #1
Edit:
This guy has some great music sets. Very very energetic.
Listen to the ones that say "Start the heart vol x".

Re: Your best training music
In our Gym the only music genre that I hear most of the time are love songs from the 90's lol. And surprisingly it completely blends well and most of the time whenever we do our warm ups on the treadmill section we usually sing along with the current love songs being played.

Wow, that sounds like a horrible selection! :D
Re: Your best training music
I even had this one time where I was sitting on the bench with no shirt to do some dumbbells and this guy was also shirtless in front doing the exact same thing we had an awkward eye balling and a background music about Sometimes we touch... I think it was this... after that I never again tried doing dumb bells on the lifting section.

And actually the gym uses a radio and the trainers and customers there like tuning in on love radios. so yeah... very hippie people
And by music you should subscribe to a guy called SuicideSheep or Dubstepdealer on Youtube. They have this good electro music.
