PayPal issue

Hello,

I have an issue with PayPal. I opened by account back in 2010 and started a Minecraft server in 2011. My server was a success and I received over 2500€ in donation in 8 months, and that unfortunately is the yearly receiving limitation.

So my account was limited and I didn't really know what to do, because the only option was to send them my drivers license and bank statement. For long I kept waiting for if perhaps they would just open my account, but they didn't and I therefore sent them the information they required.

The issue comes here, I was 17 back then when I sent them the information and of course the response I got was regarding the fact that I was underage and not allowed to use the service. So I accepted the fact and stopped using PayPal.

Today, I am 18 and hoping to start using PayPal once again. I have sent them 2 emails so far regarding this case but I have not received an answer on this matter. The first one I sent is over a week ago. I quite frankly don't know if PayPal even opens up accounts for people who have been caught using PayPal underage.

Basically, I am posting this here to hear your opinions and to get some information on this. Has any of you or if you know anyone who has been in the same kind of a situation and how have they/you continued from this? Is my account forever gone or what can be done now?

I don't like calling PayPal, because my mothertongue is not English and therefore I don't know how I'd manage to communicate with them, so I prefer emailing.

From previous experience with Paypal. Don't fight it... Just let it happen. lol

I'm quite sure a major international company such as paypal will have representatives who speak different languages :) - you just need to ask or find if they have a phone number for your language.

Submit all the required information, wait several weeks and then you'll be banned. Wait 6 months then and you'll get your limited funds back. You'll repeat the process, get rebanned and then eventually realize paypal are shit for selling from.

Try money bookers its good as PayPal

Once paypal realizes an account is opened by someone underage, you're fucked. Their terms of service gives them the legal right to seize all funds on the account and; 1) Return pending payments to the buyer, 2) seize the rest of your funds.

Can't call paypal shitty if you break their terms of service. I've had a paypal account for nearly 6 years now, and although while I was underaged when it was opened, I have never had a single issue other than 45 day delayed payments due to too many chargebacks. It was fair, and the restriction was removed within the 90 days stated when the restriction was put in place.

If you try to get around restrictions, can you honestly expect not to eventually get fucked?

Wait for the response or call them.

Google Checkout would be more than perfect for me, but unfortunately I can not accept donations via it due to the limitations by google. (Works only in US and UK)

I was able to move all the funds from the PayPal account to my bank account but my account still remains banned. They told me to create a new account, so that's what I am doing now. Seems like this issue got solved.

Its being replaced by Google Wallet.

Just call them. I even managed to get money from PayPal when a person filed unauthorized payment at his credit card company in which case seller (me) always loses.
They have very strict rules, but if you follow them then you are ok. Their email support has very low priority, so just call them and be nice and calm. If one of the customer support person declines or what not then call again till you get another.
Also - always take out your money from paypal and never keep more than $500 there. I myself take out every time I have $100-200 on PP and never had any problems.

Had a similar issue, I sent e-mails and got responses but the problem never seemed to get fully fixed. Recently I gave them a phone call and the matter was fixed within a matter of minutes.

Don't be afraid to call. They're a major company, I'm sure they can find someone who can either translate or speak your language to further help you.
