guys with the new psp the makers are saying that there is a virus on the system and if u get it, the hole psp will eventually shut down and ull have to buy another psp and if u have the virus if u watch a dvd play a game it will fuk up the dvd or game guys beleive me ITS TRUE!

You buy one thing, this thing comes with a virus, then it shutsdown, then you have to buy another...
LOL... Of course, if the virus part is true, you have to receive another free of charge...
Sony got one recall for PS2 Slim AC adaptors, and the ones who got affected receive a new one free of any charge...
This appears to be like those trash emails we receive times to times...

No there is a virus for the psp that will breakdown the whole system but i am like 99.9% sure u can return it

There is a easy fix... You can get a program that makes it rebot making it think its a old version there for killing the virues. The odd of you buying a bran new one and getting it is like 1/500 lol.

Those virus called PSPBrick a homebrew program it will write your flash on your PSP. And after you restart you got BLANK sreen after power is on

what the hell i mean why would anyone get a hack on there psp im psp user to and there some sit that try to rip you off with the EBOOT file but i DL my stuff only from playstation.com
That EBOOT stuff was for downgrading your PSP [Which actually works], so that you can run homebrew. I've done it no problems ;)
Though I do wish they'd make a crack though 2.0 sooner =p
not sure about the virus... psp are quite common now.. plus problems can always be fixed wif a firmware upgrade..
or downgrade^^
I say just forget the PSP.. Nintendo DS is way better.. Also, no point in getting a PSP if you already have a PS2 >.>

Coz i hav a PSP and hav down / upgraded so many times and put so much homebrew on it and it still hasnt 'mysteriously shutdown' on me...
In this whole thread neo_mx and lonewolf SEED are right that there is a 'virus' called TrojanBrick and i had it on my PSP at one point but just deleted it...
and btw i got Liberty Cities on PSP and it kicks ass tbh xD
