How to get rid of news widget in client?

Anyone know how to get rid of this;

Load your client up, press F12. When the news starts loading, view the source. There should be some HTML tags that are filled with javascript. Go to the client source in your htdocs/wwwroot and delete those HTML tags.

You cleared cache after editing variables?
