Im trying to make a kal private server but I have sql 2012 on windows 8. All tutorials I have found are for sql 2000 and sql 2005. Are there any tutorials on sql 2012 or could someone make one please?

Actually i don't think there's tutorials and i think you can't make a private server if you got windows 8 because its new windows and there's to many programs you should use it to make a private server but its dosn't works i guess ... if you want make private server you should get windows xp or 7 and the better is xp ,, or i got for you idea if you rich man you can buy root and work on it ..

Thanks, Ive gotten it close to start but after my auth and db servers start the main server cant get id message pops up. forums say obdc settings and ive rechecked them and seem good. thats with exe clean repack. Trying Syron v2 repack now. Will see what happens.

Im still getting the same "cant get item id" error on main server startup with syron repack too. must be something im missing. my odbc settings are kal_auth to kal_auth and kal_db to kal_db. no master. any ideas friends?
which bit version of windows do you use? do you use x 64 bit? if yes, you have to go into programs -> SysWin64, and press o (to get nearly to the odbc configuation settings shit) doubleclick on it, and then u will see, that there isnt odbc added, im sure, u only added it for windows 32bit. :)
did you even tryd to use clean exe's repack?

Hi Tranx, I have Windows 8 64bit. I went to programs but don't see syswin64. Ill continue to look though because i am positive something is up with my odbc settings. Thanks
In my administrative tools i have odbc data sources 64 bit. Thats where i set up my settings for private server. I dont know if that tells you anything. found an odbcconf file i opened and it shows odbc info but i cant changed anything in there. I do still have exe clean repack on computer. Im just trying syron now but would prefer exe clean.

problem was
he dont restore the right kal_db and kal_auth ..
kalserver work perfect on SQL 2012 .. Windows 8 64bit
