O2Jam Live

Does anyone remember this game? Yap, this is O2Jam! O2Jam is a Multiplayer Online Music Game (MPOMG) which was really famous back then. The gameplay of this game is really similar to Guitar Hero (Beatmania, actually) O2Jam Live is an international private server in which you can play for free.

Interface and Items

1. Official Interface Design

2. English Interface
The client was originally built for the Chinese version of the game, but we have already translated over 90% of it to English, so no more confusion for you!

3. Custom Items
There are lot of new items that have been added to the server, including the newest official items from O2Jam Classic (Korea). Ranging from colorful dresses, cute pets, cool guitars, and many more. See it for yourself!

4. Rings Skill
You can purchase rings using your Gems. Also, we have increased the amount of each type of rings: x10 rings becomes x50 x50 rings becomes x250

Song Systems

1. Song Request
You can request songs that you want to see in the server as long you have the music files (OJN and OJM), or you can create one by yourself. Requests are currently closed, but it will be open really soon!

2. Songpack System
We have about 635 songs from various genres and artists with over 3GB of total size! We separated the songs into level categories. With the level-based songpack download system, you can download the song based on your playing skill, or better yet, just download them all for the full experience. It's completely your choice whether or not to download the songs which are outside your expertise!

Currently there are 14 song packs plus new updates.

3. Individual Songs
If you have a limited internet connection and the songpacks are still too big for you to download, there are individual songs available to download in our Facebook group. You can join our group by clicking the link below and browse the song in the Documents section.

New or not, still a good thing to see. O2jam was a great game and really underrated. A modern version of this game would be a hit imo.

Yea I agree XD
and also last time I was trying to creating my own Server Application for new Client (the Korea one) for this server.
The client has 3k Mode (the new mode), more nicely interface and some cool items

but there are serious bug on Long Note in newer Client Version, the game crashed when there are mass notes with long note.
so I was pending the development until I can figure out how to fix that bug.

Yes, there are new version.
Since the Official from e-Games was closed in all countries, O2Jam was taken by new company called Nowcom and it only available on Korea.

After O2Jam NX, Nowcom launch new version called O2Jam X2 after that O2Jam Classic.
Now the O2Jam Classic was closed too (it was closed on 2012), and now O2Jam was taken by Momo Corp. now

But it only available for Android and Iphone devices.
There are few version, there are O2Jam U (for the android and iphone), O2Jam Analog (for android) and also there are O2Jam S (Shoot, AFAIK it only available for iphone)

It came from Korea, but O2Jam U, O2Jam S and O2Jam Analog is international online server.

The new client version that I was talking about is O2Jam Classic Client.

This is the newest client of O2Jam Classic, but this is not the one that I am trying to create my own Server Application (it's the older one), because in this version, I got much problem when analyzing the game encryption and packets..

btw there are Speed modifier, I am using x3.5 on Venus Storm, you may try slower like x2.0 or x1.5 LOL XD
but yea, Venus Storm (Normal Mode) is too hard for the beginner @@"

Very difficult game indeed. When I played I usually went on x2 playing the easier songs. .-.

The first time I play I am using x3 on 150 bpm
depend the bpm, using x2 on 60 bpm will result very slow gameplay @@"

and then I am try to increase my speed on 150 bpm, until now I usually only using x4 on 150 bpm @@"

Played for a while last night and quickly remembered how much I such at this game. Still enjoy playing easy songs though. I remember playing fly magpie over and over back on e-games haha.

You can use tool called d3dwindower
Once you downloaded it, click + button to add program, select OTwo.exe
In Command Line box, fill it with this:

double click the icon, the game will running windowed, but make sure you run the patcher first to get latest update.
Since this very2 old game, there are no option to adjust resolution ingame, so we only can do that with a little bit tricky lol

We can know the server ip is 180.246.20.214. so we need to confirm the current server ip is still using same ip or not...
how? just open command prompt (CTRL + R and type "cmd" (without quotes)) and type "ping o2liveint.dyndns-server.com" (without quotes)

you will got something like:

as you can see the server ip is 202.138.249.204
simply, replace all 180.246.20.214 with 202.138.249.204

I downloaded the game, it works fine but I have these problems:
- Sometimes it doesn't connect to the internet for buying things in the shop (I have Internet Explorer 8);
- It happens that sometimes I see strange characters instead of normal words;
- In the song list I have some songs that I can't select to play. They are blue and they are unselectable. I have downloaded all the updates, and installed them correctly.

Do you know how to fix these problems?
