The only thing that really comes up is that it means "Online community/game" - So I could assume that it's a custom-thought name!

Good guesses haha, the word itself doesn't mean anything but Joseph his answer is the best explanation.

Re: What does the word 'Habbo' mean?
I think it's a Finnish word? Not sure though. I put it through a translator and nothing.
Probably just a word that Aapo and Sampo made up. :P
Re: What does the word 'Habbo' mean?
Sulake is fuse or fusaki or something so it's something with a meaning as well obviously but that never was really clear.

Re: What does the word 'Habbo' mean?

Clearly incan read i just overlooked it: It's just weird how one random word can make such name occur it's amazing but strange also.

Re: What does the word 'Habbo' mean?
When they started Habbo in finland, at 2000, they taked EOPH (Elämä on parasta huumetta / Life is the best drug) to do Anti-drugs work to Habbo.
Happo is a nickname for drugs in finland, so i believe that name Habbo comes from that. Just guessing, im not sure : D
ps. Sorry about my bad english...

Habmoon already stated that Habbo derived from the word Happo - which is Finnish for acid.
