[ Sulake ] FuseLight

So i was basically looking around and going to pages and came on this one and found this whole ''FuseLight'' thing now this was basically another development from Sulake regardless to the whole Mobiles disco and even though the Mobiles Disco was released by Nillus is this also very nice as it was developed in 2001 and i don't think Sulake ever looked after it in the end.

Here is some information regardless to Sulake Fuselight.

Abstract:

FUSE Light is based on FUSE technology which is used for example in popular virtual disco Mobiles Disco. FUSE technology and FUSE Light are developed by Sulake.

FUSE Light is pure Java(tm)-server and Director Shockwave-movies communicate with it using a simple text-based fuse-protocol. Macromedia Multiuser Xtra can be used, but there are other network-xtras available for Director which should work too.

Features

FUSE Light provides the most important features of Macromedia Multiuser Server but with better scalability and ability to run it on virtually every platform. Unix-platforms such as Linux are recommended because they are easier to maintain remotely and provide better network security than Windows. Macromedia's server runs only on MacOS and Windows and does not scale as it cannot be distributed efficiently.

FUSE Light contacts to relational databases, built in support for free MySQL is provided with this first release. However, there should be no problems in using other databases with slight modifications. Unfortunately we have used some MySQL-specific SQL-syntax but this will be removed on later releases. MySQL is recommended in most purposes because its perfect price-quality ratio...

If you say "Aapo" you mean the guy from germany?

I don't think that's the real Aapo because the real Aapo is Finnish and his name is: Aapo Kyrölä so no that's not the Aapo we're talking about and if you know which Aapo we're talking about is the Aapo who made Mobiles Disco with his friend in 1999.

First of all

Yes this was made by Aapo / Haapo and Sampo or however this guy called and What I'm assuming is that he made Mobiles disco in 1999 and in 2002 he decided to release it for people to use and Mobiles Disco even had a Workbench which people could use but they deleted it as I'm not able to download that but they even had a workbench.



Anyway good luck and have fun with it maybe your able to do something with it but I'm going to give this a try as well and maybe open a demostration website to find out what this does and how it functions and if it's better than the one Nillus released because that one gave some errors and some things weren't even working on Nillus his Mobiles Disco Release.

I'm also thinking that this was released after they've finished Mobiles Disco as for people to play around with the code and do something for their selfs and as said before they even had a workbench people where able to download but that's clearly deleted.

Because re-releasing is worth getting likes and +rep...

That post does not contain as much information as this does clearly this requires information about what it is and what it does and what people are able to do with it so i doubt that this post will get closed and we're also going to re-add the workbench ( Thank you Phosofor ) so people can also download and use that and i don't see that on the older post thank you very much.

Now i don't feel hard because i released this and what not but it does require more information and tells people what they can do with it and what it is and so i don't think this post is going to get closed so please leave the thread alone and leave your non-sense elsewhere.

Its the sames packets as v1 ^^ ( broadcast, inforetrieve, etc .. )

I never realised that this was the exact one Nillus released even though i noted some errors on Nillus his Mobiles Disco release is his release still very good no doubt about it but i never realised that that one was the same so thank you for notifying me.

Anyway sure be sure to re-upload the workbench so people can make use of it and so we can complete this release and I'll add your name and also add it to my mirror site so if it ever goes down then i and probably others will have backups to post :-)

I still dont see a reason to create a new thread as this stuff has been re-released over 5 times.

Sad enough to say it wasn't a big thing then and won't change from that in this age. This isn't what users of the community really want in all honesty. Won't do them any good.

True it has been released many times but i think some people do feel like bringing it back as the old posts don't have that much as this for example haves regardless the information.

I'll also have to agree with vLife that despite the fact that it's nice that these things don't get used anymore and releasing this is more of a timewaster I've just got in to so i may leave it open if anyone has any other opinion about this or want to read the information.

I'm willing to release some old layouts from the older Sulake and from the older Habbo but i first got to be sure that it haven't been released yet as to avoid dubble posting et cetera and as to keep the mods from my back.

Anyway I've moved the downloads to a new directory and i will change it in a few hours as i need some rest right now i think the directory is: Download not sure because I'm using main directory for upcoming layout.

Please remind that the directories have been changed as I'm using the main directory now for my upcoming layout.

The new directory should be: Index of /Downloads & Demo's/Download and there you can download the FuseLight again along with the other FuseLight files.

Just as I predicted, this release has been useless.
