So I've not really been active and you can really see that but as I'm seeing the Habbo section now as it really changed!
So the question is what is your opinion about the Habbo section now or what is your point of view on the Habbo section now.

The main point is that this section dont move on, same threads are popping up over and over again. This section dies because non of the active users takes the time to actually learn what we, the guys who leaved, left behind for you.
I've seen this kind of threads 100 times now over the past 9 months and nothing has changed. You guys are complaining this section dies. Maybe you ask the wrong question, what about the question: "What can we do to bring it back"?
It's just a lack of initiative from this section..
Renaming killed the section. End of story.
In my opinion it's really because Sulake now manages to hunt emulator devlopers and on the other hand the packageid shuffling is just so annoying, that it doesn't make any fun coding Emulators anymore because with every version change you've got to start packetlogging over and over again...
I would like to first off start with that the Habbo section haven't really died out and I've only seen the Customs section really run dry but that's going to get active of course and you don't really see me complaining about it because it gets active pretty fast again.
Anyway the second thing is that renaming indeed have been killing the scene even though it's something we need to get used to because then you would be wondering: What are you doing on the Habbo section because this is obviously the most common thing ( For me because I'm used to it ) and some people like it and some don't and I've not lliked it too but I'm used to it.
Sulake haven't really made the sections dry out to be honest there are developers and releasers who still release after having serveral complains from Sulake and that's pretty good to be honest and so I'm not really thinking that it's the Habbo section that is really working out because of Sulake but some hotels are.
It's pretty good that the good developers are gone: Like Roy & Josh & Various other they where the one who made the first and most used CMS for v26 retro's and sure it wasn't that secure and they've never really looked back at it but there where people who did and they've solved those problems by re-releasing or just by posting it.
Josh ( Rastalulz ) Quit his interest in Habbo Retro's and moved on to Minecraft and such various other things which is pretty good even though i don't really like Minecraft.
Roy ( Meth0d ) Don't know where he went but he sure quitted the Habbo life for his reason.
Too bad the good developers are good but there are new good developers coming which is good!
I've left, I've been here for a while also (see reg date). It did genuinely used to be much better, when Nillus, Meth0d and Ngangsta were around. There has not been a legitimate, open source development since UberEMU and that was a huge shambles and it took the community about 2 years to get it working with out crashing, but not exactly stable.
200? - (late 2010
People used to contribute awesome stuff. The average age of the community was >16. The mentality was to help and contribute as there were very popular developers doing so. There were many cool add-ons to holoCMS and later on, PHPRetro. Even though holoCMS and PHPRetro were badly coded, for the time it was amazing. People released custom furniture which was of great quality with proper SQL's and catalogue pages. There was a varying degree in the emulator side of things as well. People like cecer1 and Dissi did Holo SQL pooling and fixed up a lot of things. Most hotels ran V26 for about 2 years and there was genuine competition among them. By this I mean, retros competed on pure quality and people went to what was best. Unlike now where people compete by either; Cheating on retroslist, booting competing hotels offline and attempting to dox the owners. There was once a time when, you could run your hotel off a VPS, with your IP exposed, and you would, at worst get a script kiddie downloading a HTTP flooder and flooded your webserver. Unlike now where everyone has a booter pointed at one another and the community is full of drama and aids.
2011 - now
All the developers have left. Many fake developments pop up in the development section on a weekly basis. I have not seen any viable or actual emulators released since Uber Emulator (which is your phx or butter[storm/fly/fire/whatever]) re-names. That you could, essentially put live on a hotel and use properly. Attempts were made, and some did succeed (Quackster) but it vanished into the night due to Sulake or whatever. The odd CMS thread comes up, and there's a release. But the CMS is just as bad as the old ones and does nothing you. You can count on a daily release of some form of 'RevCMS' which is now 3 years old. Never anything innovative or special, normally some broken, poorly coded add-on or shitty paint-done theme. Same for furniture releases, the people who release them can't even get the SQL's right and always fail to release the proper banners, icons or pictures. The 'hotel' community is in an even more broken state. As previously said, cheating is rife. There is no genuine competition. Booting/DDoS attacks are also rife. Put up a hotel, and in no time you'll have someone making threats to DDoS you.
The community destroyed its self with in, but no one cares. And with Sulake watching (because yes, they are) the community is a dying thing.
Personally, I can't wait to see it die.
Section looks so boring now, lol.
It was so good a few years ago, but at the start of 2013 it fizzled.
oh well.
edit;;
I'd also like to add that within my time 2009 - late '12, there was soo much competition. Everyone wanted to do their own thing (cms/emu). Now it seems as if everyone wants to be the same, pretty much laziness. Where's the hungriness to be the best server or cms dev?
Cobe.
Good to see you around even though i don't really know you so that's first-off.
Yes actually the Habbo section now is pretty boring and having wishes is pretty stupid but i wish the Habbo section would be as it used to be and not how it is at this state.
I hope some day that some old-developers will come back and make the Habbo section the same again and bring it back to how it was and not how it is at this state.
This Section Might As Well Be Closed TBH.
The War Is Over. Lol
Hejula.
Yes the Habbo section is indeed dry but at least we still have you and that's a benefit for sure.
I was always a big fan of your Habbo RevCMS and your the reason why so many RevCMS Habbo edits are existed and are existing and are made so better so that's so good!
Ultimate.
I don't know who you are but your starting to freak me out.
And I'm probably not the first one who's not understanding your post.
All the back in the day developers have grown up now & there aint no more coming through, give it till 2014, this section will get daily help threads, but apart from that nothing else.
Not sure where this section is going to go in 2014 because it's dead already but maybe in 2014 it will become large again i guess we'll never know!
I'm still happy that Hejula & Makarov & Many others are still here they at least post even though it's not much!
After Sulake caught up with me. I realised how stupid I was wasting my time with Habbo.
