Channel Crashing.

Today i had my first User who crashed my Channels around 40 times. Till i found him and banned all his accounts.

I collected some informations about it.

The way he does:
1. The user just need a account. No Character or anything.
2. He log in with the account and enters a Channel and sends a wrong Packet.
3. The wrong Packet somehow crash the Channel instantly.

i found this information about it.

So can someone help me with that ? Did someone had this issue too and fixed it?

Can you tell us his IP so that we can avoid him crashing our server?

in synthesis? someone has found a solution? change xor in the package header is the only valid solution?

Does he login with a different Cabalmain and does it? Or could he inject a dll and do that stuff too easily? He keeps crashing my channels all the time.

another update from me.

after i banned the whole server except me...

he still can crash the channels.

He already does it for 10 hours+.

he cant crash channels which isnt in my proxy ip enabled. like Port 12312.

I changed the Port to a different one but after some time i got DCed too there.

any help is really appreciated.

Protect your cabalmain client version to prevent using other cabalmain to connect on your server.

simple as that.

if you would read what i said then you should see that your advice aint working. You can crash channels without logging into cabal. Your version cant help you.

Maybe he meant to say logging into the game

Well first he logged with a account. But after i banned everyone on the server he could crash the channels without logging into a account.

Im not sure but for me its looks like a something with XOR key's. If u want test how to crash well then try if this way works:
When u have xor in ur main,
1) Try to increase one of xor value to 3 numbers.
2) try to use a minus value in one of them.
And another suggestion, check this adress in ur cabalmain: (1C3ACA1A, 41C21ADB)
if it exist and what it is...

looks like in these adress are something wrong..
