GameServer Runtime error, flood of nonsense, no log.[Self-Fixed]

So the guides, they all miss key points, eventually you smash your head off your desk repeatedly until something works. Eureka! You find out that all the server.cfgs are wrong, and the guides people put up fail to mention how the servers interact with each other. That's fine, now I figured everything out, and seem to have a unique problem I've never seen before..

I know that Gameserver talks to Agent, but Farm too, but I can't get it to stop erroring. :/

So I found a topic/some posts referring to a similar error.

Which worked, then repeated the first code, and seemingly it did something.

Now, no error shows up, but I still get a runtime error. >_<

Fixed. Solution: Disable CHINA in dbo.RefRegionBindAssocServer in SRO_VT_SHARD, by setting the column with a 1 to a 0.

you have too much mobs, 1 gs cant host all sro mobs, you must use 2 gs or decrease number of mobs

I appreciate the help Caosfox, but is it just me or do you guys all give answers and not elaborate how that is done?

Thanks CaosFox, I ended up some how translating what you said and making it work. Followed by a new issue in my new topic, which I also fixed.. now I have a new problem. After about 10 seconds it kicks me off, which I've seen some posts around the web about it. I'll see if I can fix that, too.

You got the Runetime becuse of a Bug where is Fixed 1-2 Years ago and the other thing is not enought RAM about the 10min Dc ... search for Agentserver xtrap fix ...

Do people read that I fixed it? It's hard to find files. Also, it's not a 1-2-3 thing to setup these server files. I've even worked in emulation and done some packet sniffing and things of that nature for server development, so, definitely not something you can just pop in off the street and do. It's different when you, having been around for 2 years, would know the answers I don't, or where to find things. But, using google, ragezone, about 15 different guides, files, etc, I figured it out, within a few days. And the runtime error had nothing to do with xtrap, and I was already using the Agent server with no xtrap. I'll probably release a proper guide, since I have a 100% working server now with v188 files. But it's not like anyone would care anyway. They'd rather read something that makes no sense, and have to look all over the place for solutions. Eventually going bald from stress. xD

if still no,i bet is about .asp
1) cant connect to asp server / not configured right
2) some .asp files have a short of ip check inside (on the first lines of code), simply put your ip there

Long story short, I have it working, my friends can connect, and so on. Managed to max level a few chars. Have some issues with some other things which are unrelated to this thread now. Like changing skills, item stats, etc. Fixing the client so it actually has NPC dialogs, skill names and item names. But I have a working server and the client is somewhat English, so I guess what I need is more of modding(development) side of it now.

Thanks, both of you. I found some things, like a stored procedure to equip GMs with good equipment and things of that nature. But I can't seem to find where you can modify the weapons. Like say I wanted to update ALL weapons to do +100, or +1000 damage, there should be a way to do that.

Things I've noticed, at least for this game, and hosting a private server, is that with high rates, higher max level, everything else, the characters are still really weak in comparison to the unique monsters. I get that in the official servers these monsters are intended to be fought with a group of people, but on a private server this is a difficult feat to accomplish. Even with GM access, maxed out to the teeth, it takes me a really long time to beat a Unique level 100+. So I would like to modify all the equipment in the game to be much stronger.

I would also like to increase the skills. For example there is a passive skill that gives +12% to physical damage at max level. I would like to increase his to 25%, or even 50%.

Another thing I've noticed is that after reaching max level, a character's pet will stop receiving experience. In some cases other characters made will also glitch. One of my friends testing the server has encountered this on his main(non-gm) account, where if his first character hits max level, and he makes a second character, that character won't receive experience. The only way I think I could remedy this bug is by writing an ASP script to reduce a character below max-level(Level and Experience Points). Ie: Login > Manage Character > Fix EXP bug. Or something of that nature.

Either of you have experience with any of these things?

For example, the 500k base dmg here, it sucks, I'd like to see something more like 1.5 million base dmg.
