Client connecting to localhost. Where to change
Hi Guys,
I have installed and compiled my allright source server.
The server are up abd running on my lan ip
The Updater also works great (over the lan IP).
Creating users works fine.
But the client can´t connect to the server. The Logfile says:
000036.259| WOApi: Connect to 127.0.0.1
000036.260| WOApi: api_LoginSessionPoller.aspx NETWORK time: 30.0377
000036.260| WO_API: http timeout
I am searching now for a few days but I can´t find the error in the source.
Where in the source do you tell the client (warzth.exe) on which server to connect?
Thank you very much for your help
Re: Client connecting to localhost. Where to change
Re: Client connecting to localhost. Where to change
The Server IP is a public IP on the internet. And the client IP is provided by dhcp. But I think thats not important.
The problem is that the client tries to connect to 127.0.0.1 in order to reach the api. As the client is not running on the server this definetly won´t work.
So how can I tell the client which IP to use to connect to the API?
Looks like in the sources are no sourcefiles for the client itself.
Re: Client connecting to localhost. Where to change
config all ip to 127
and externalip to public IP
and recheck iis + db

Okay I fixed my Problem. Thank you for your help.
Just Need to say that I was too stupid. I also needed to compile the Studio. I thought this would be just the game Editor and as I don´t want to Change something for now I haven´t compiled that one ;O)

Re: Client connecting to localhost. Where to change
Sorry but I don´t use skype. Was the IP added automatically or have you added it manually to this file?
If the IP in your source is right then it will be added automatically to this file.
Re: Client connecting to localhost. Where to change
Manually :/,you have DolbyAxon or TS?,i can share teamviewer if need :/,I'm days trying to solve this error, you and the first person who is helping me, -;, I could share the teamviewer so you can take a look
Re: Client connecting to localhost. Where to change
okay. I think ou can do it by yourself.
If you ´won´t get it to run contact me by E-Mail (I am getting mails to my Handy so I can act faster).
Bastian@fam-rieck.de
Here is how to fix it:
Open the File: C:\Warz\src\RSUpdate\RsUpdate.sln in Visual Studio.
Now, on the right side, you can see all the files that belong to the Project.
You Need to edit.: LauncherConfig.cpp so that it matches your enviroment.
Save the File and rebuild the updater.
Afterwards you need to run C:\Warz\bin\build\updater\createupdater.bat and copy the created .EXE and .XML file to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wz\updater
Thats it. The Updater will now connect to the Server. (your friends Need to Download the new updater)
