BBC says $19bn, still a pretty big purchase! Will be interesting to see what they do with WhatsApp, could have it running standard on any new 'Facebook phones'
I saw think on Facebook earlier. As long as facebook does keep whatsapp separate, I do think it is going to be a good benefit to both sides. As soon as they start integrating I think its gonna go to poo.

Well, it's not really the technology behind WhatsApp that makes the application what it is, it's the brand. Cloning the product wouldn't be that hard or expensive, it's the brand in itself and service and users that are the value, not the code.Quote:

Facebook has already said they won't change what we know, but of course they will slip in stuff. The purchasing is the same, the free year sub (android, idk if apple has) will remain and no "advertisements".
