are you using the config file from this repack? if you are not running it inside docker, you will need to change the computer name in the config. then it will apply the correct settings on startup
this is for local development, so "if I already use a vps" is not the target audience
if you're already managing a server and know what you're doing.. just read the compose config and do the same...
Try changing the first line of your Dockerfile to
FROM i386/debian:buster-slim
Very very easy to set up if you have Docker installed. Works best on Linux, works fine on Windows.
For those unfamiliar with Docker, it's basically software that makes it simple to create and...
the server files can be built from the code in the Rice repo as well
The stored procedure is already there in the database, but you need to rewrite some of it to work properly.
if you set it to use TW authentication, it will use the getAccInfo procedure for that
The error is from the stored procedure that you need to fix for auth to work.
the server seems to be set up correctly. you will need to bring your own client as the EC client is fitted specifically for EC
edit:
well, one thing on the db - the auth stored proc that comes...
HitConvert is now part of open-source RiceConvert, which I'm bundling with RicePack.
Download RicePack (AGT, TDF, LOF) and RiceConvert (HIT):
https://github.com/amPerl/RiceTools/releases
AGTPack2 is now RicePack, is open source and available for download here: https://github.com/amPerl/RiceTools/releases
Server developers: this is just a compact version of Rice ("offline" branch on GitHub) meant for local development, if you're familiar with Rice there's nothing to see here. I included an unpacked...
Superb effort. I'm working on a similar game server and file converters/packers for Drift City. Let me know if you need an extra hand with anything in particular.
World maps (dome, moon palace, etc.) use .NIFs for visible models but the collisions are stored separately in a .HIT file for the floor and walls.
This converts from .HIT to .OBJ and from .OBJ to...
Here is AGTPack2 that I made a long time ago, but never uploaded anywhere.

* replacing files without...
GitHub repo for RiceEmu has been updated with changes from the private fork.
Quests, item shop, vehicle shop and any other stuff we might have showed off recently.
As always, comes with a huge WIP...
For anyone interested, Coasterfreak has made a small video of the state Rice is at right now.
In this video Rice is running on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with a MariaDB database.

added tool to convert vehicleupgrade.xlt to json because fuck reading xlt files
not happening, i told you so on the discord already
Going to be posting / updating small utility scripts I write for dealing with various Drift City file formats.
LOF model table unpacker:...
if you don't unpack asprotect you can't patch the ip in the client without using a connect hook
so you either write a hooking dll or unpack asprotect
Made a Discord server for general Drift City stuff, including any development discussion: https://discord.gg/aSXywVy
Going to try and get Rice stable enough for a public test some point soon
I don't know anything about this game but I'm working on an emulator for a very similar one.
For this you probably want to compare function calls and field accesses in packet handlers with similar...
Remarkable progress for not having packet logs. Great job! What language are you writing the server in?
That's some great reversing work. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Not if you would trust your friends with teamviewer and a couple hours of free time to on your pc.
DCPS if you just want to play (on an ancient version).
Rice if you want an (incomplete) server...
While I would like to keep the build itself private, there is no harm in revealing what we've improved.
I believe since the last commit to the public version we've fleshed out the lobby system...
Welcome to Ragezone :)
We couldn't find the exact client to match the server files so we used an incompatible client. Both the client and server were modified to be able to function together....
Some, nothing noteworthy since our last updates. Most of my free time is spent doing other, more interesting things. There simply isn't enough demand for a DC server for the emulator to be worth...
The foreign files work pretty much the same as the US ones do, though. There's not much of a difference.
This is just Rice. He renamed some stuff but the code is the same. I don't see any new functionality here.
Sent from my ALE-L21 using Tapatalk
It's ASProtect and the automatic unpackers only seem to work on certain revisions of the client.
I tried one on this version and it didn't work, so you'd have to do it manually or fix it up a...
DriftCity release clients are packed and yes, that does look like ollydbg.
What even is the question here?
There aren't any active modifications on your pictures, what have you spent months on?
You can't make any significant edits to the runnable before you've unpacked...
It would be believable if that were the only thing.
His PMs and code quality also imply he has no idea what he's doing.
RZ isn't the place to discuss this.
And his screenshots are fake.
NPLUTO use a SVN server only accessible through their office network.
Doubt it. I have university and other stuff to deal with, so development is slow.
For anyone interested, the private version of Rice has a public commit log so you can see what we're up to: Rice Commit Log
The Rice emulator project is still up on Github so you're welcome to download it and start improving it. That said, we have worked on it privately and will probably revive the project now that US...
good, we have missions and stuff
we're working on rice privately, I said this in the rice thread
As of a week or so ago, RiceEmu on GitHub is only there to provide a base for the RZ community for Drift City emulator development. The open-source version is no longer being actively developed. I...
For that reason upon exchanging keys Rice tells the client to disable encryption.
Latest GC DC.
