Nice idea!
In "normal" server files that means that you have to scan these large binary columns for each inventory and vault periodically, right?

The client sometimes compensates stuff for the own player, so always check this on the second mu client.
The posted source looks correct, so I would assume it's something wrong with the...
It's an error in the "PreviewCharSet". You need to OR a 0x01 to the byte of index 11, if a full ancient set is equipped.
Similar to this logic:...
Understood, but did you also modify the frustum? Because otherwise, you'll not see very far if you rotate the camera to specific directions, e.g. to the opposite of the default direction (downwards).
It's actually not a "rendering error" of the game server. It's by design, because the server optimized that for the normal camera frustum. The original game is not designed for a 3D Camera with...
Do you even have other Heras items equipped? ;-)
AFAIK, the automatic zen pickup of these pets is almost completely implemented on the client side. The client sends a zen pickup packet, like when the player itself would pick it up. I could imagine,...
You could try this one: https://forum.ragezone.com/f197/release-munique-openmu-network-analyzer-1142988/
Yes, there is basically no public c++ source for 0.97d/0.99 available. And those who have it, don't share it.
You may want to check out my OpenMU project. It has support for version 0.75, 0.95d...
If you have the server source, go to user.cpp, function gObjViewportListProtocolCreate, remove all if-branches where the condition is lpObj->m_Change >= 0.
This will prevent that the player is shown...
The question is, does Webzen actually act against private servers? Never heard of such a case and never hosted one myself, so IDK. There are private servers which exist many years and nothing...
Not possible, maps are limited by 256x256 coordinates.
Excellent Defense Rate option usually only applies to PvM. To change this, you'd probably need to change to code in the usual server sources.
I have one more old version:
0.95d: normal and exc items, wings level1, devil square, max items +11
Yea, would be great if we would have a public git repo, so all can work together ;-)
If you want to host your whole server on azure, sure, you can use it. Otherwise, hosting just the sql server on azure, it makes no sense, because you'll have too high latencies and high costs....
Well, I'm currently working on version 0.95d support for the OpenMU project. I'm curios if there's any server out there which already supports it - I couldn't find one. A 0.97d server wouldn't work...
who cares? why don't you show off your stuff in your own thread and leave this one alone?
Thanks! This might be helpful for my project. Currently, I'm working on the support for Version 0.75 in the OpenMU project.
If you can change the source, there is a place where potions can be adjusted. The function is CGUseItemRecv in protocol.cpp.
For example, you'll find this switch case:
switch (...
I'm chilled xD Wasn't a critique to you, but in general. CRC is bullshit and people on this forum still believe it protects against anything. There was a discussion about it a few years ago:...
"a program that encrypts the client side files u want to Protect and decrypts it only after main.exe is runned"
-> bullshit, you can copy the files anyway while the game is running
CRC to detect...
You never played on a regular MU Server, do you?
When your character class changed to a master and receives master experience, you don't get more regular levels or experience.
Idk if and how...
Of course, it’s also possible to connect to another computer. You just have to set the correct target IP and port.
Searching for a clean (no virus) 97d client, too.
Would be nice, if someone could reupload, thanks :)
Released Version 0.4.0
Changes:
Minor bug fixes and improvements
Updated packet definitions
Upgraded to .NET 5.0
Did they remove the gameguard check on server side, or do you get disconnected after some seconds? xD
Sorry for my question, I didn't play gmo since 10 years...
Hey, check out my OpenMU project. It's completely open source and also needs just open source software to run.
An open source Client and the OpenMU Server would be a nice combination, if you ask me...
pro tip: don’t use the IP 127.0.0.1, the main.exe won‘t connect to it. Try 127.127.127.127 or any other 127.x.x.x
yes, the latency will be very high... about 300 ms.
Nice project and good idea to separate the server and client :)
Is there an API documentation available? It would be interesting to implement the server side for the OpenMU project ;-)
Okay, just in case someone is interested, I found a very very simple solution - a one byte change in the main.exe. :w00t::w00t::w00t:
At 0x0063CF12, instead of setting the value 0x02, I set 0x14....
Thanks bog7
About getting started: I posted a release thread on this forum with a suitable client. The project contains a simple launcher which starts the main.exe with any IP/Port you like. Then...
I'm sorry I can't help you with that. I always use the other two ways which I mentioned.
Search for "connect.muonline.webzen.com" and replace it with your IP or with your address. In the main exe of this release it probably starts around 00a5f7b2.
Transparency Effect ;)
I don’t have the source right now, but I think what gObjViewportListProtocolDestroy does: It sends a message to all surrounding players to remove it. New players coming into the range or entering the...
With this information I can only guess which problem you have.
You click on a server and get disconnected? If yes, then the solution is most probably to add the right -resolveIp parameter:...
Bad Idea. A lot people don’t have their own IPv4, but share one over NAT. Mobile connections, DS-Light Tunnels, etc...
And of course, people will find a way to circumvent your limit anyway.
If someone contributes the new encryption algorithms, yes.
no
You don’t understand the problem. As far as I can tell, TG published his initial code under the GPL license and accepted contributions from other developers (under the terms of the license). From...
Excluding it additionally at server side shouldn’t be hard ;)
Well, I hope this isn’t going too much off-topic, but I agree, this forum section is almost dead regarding new developments. People don’t wanna spend their valuable time and see how other people try...
It all depends on several factors. You can’t expect a general answer to this question. I can‘t really help you since I have no server hosting experience, but these are some factors:
- with how...
I added basic support for the 0.75 (korean) client in my OpenMU project. This game client is very limited. I can just give you these additional game play infos about it:
- Maximum Items per group:...
I added the release for version 0.2.0 at GitHub. I updated the first post and the link to the binaries.
Have fun :)
I extended the analyzer a bit, but have no updated release yet. This may still take a few days as I’m currently busy IRL :-/
Just to sum up some of the changes since first release:
- It supports...
Thanks, I would love to see some before-after in-game pictures :D
Unfortunately, I don’t know the texture size limits of the mu client. But nice idea, I saw something like this on hacker news xD
Which software are you using? :)
you probably need to manually patch the main.exe to load your dll and/or change version, serial and IP.
