MaNGOS isn't really neccessarily for Private Server Testing, though it's highly recommended for testing purposes only, Ascent is for Public yes but MaNGOS can be public too but not a lot of people...

Ah, you need to put your localhost IP and make another server that has the WAN IP. So you can connect from the LAN and the others from the WAN.
