Yeah, sometimes.
1) Open skillinfo.txt
2) Find the skill you want to edit
3) Lets say you wanna edit "Healing Spring" - if you look at the line containing that skill, you'll see "SkillCooldown_Hfwq" -> thats the...
And now lets see how long it takes you to figure out how to calculate the checksum of the inventory ;-)
GameDB -> accounts -> set GM-field to 99
When you are a GM use this command: &make <item-id>, <count>
So "&make 1092,99" would give you 99 Old Sheepskin Scroll.
Log in with an account that has GM-Level 99 and then click on Administration -> Edit News
Lol. I'm no mod or whatever here - just a regular user as anybody else. So no need to apologize.

&make id-of-the-gem,109 -> Lv9
&make id-of-the-gem,108 -> Lv8
etc.

Uhm? *rofl*
Lets quote "left.tpl" which you can find in "PKOExtreme.rar" (templates/sidebar)
If you release other peoples work, at least get the cedits right :grr:

First off, I seriously don't get the point of this thread as it doesn't matter why the gameserver takes up quite some RAM as there is no way for us to change it.
OK, now lets get to your posting:...
Btw. is there a special reason you're using the ODBC-crap instead of the System.Data.SqlClient class? I mean: as far as i know, System.Data.SqlClient allows you to connect to all SQL-Server versions...
He is not talking about the account-password but the DB-password in the CFG-files. And thats using a way more complicated encryption (not to mention that the account-password is not encrypted but...
Just for the record: This is not the first GUI - some chinese dudes already released several GUI-tools ages ago. Including Editors for the TXT-files,etc.
Nobody besides Sjikke was involved...
Actually, the whole GM-Handbook was written by me.
Jake? copied it from the privatia-forum and released it here without giving credits. Check: http://privatia.serverdev.net/index.php?topic=199.0...
Because 1.35 (and later servers) are encrypting all inventory-data.So you will never be able to edit the inventory unless you break their (rather pathetic ) encryption.
Oh, and don't try...
Wow, again someone spreading my GM-Handbook without giving credits.
Dude, no official server is running an english 2.0 yet - so what do you think how big the possibility is that there are 2.0 files available?
You can't create maps with the build-in editor as it can't compile the maps the server needs. There was a huge discussion about it on privatia.serverdev.net
Uhmmm... LOL?... does this look familar to you:

its the thread you copied. Now, look at the author of the thread and then tell me again...
If you want it to use the other config-files you have to start the GameServer with
GameServer.exe Whatever.cfg
otherwise you will get the above error as it searches for "GameServer.cfg" if you...
So? I still don't see my name there. I don't care if you add privatia.serverdev there (as I'm not affiliated with them - i only posted my guide there) - but if you copy a whole guide that was written...
Does the file "GameServer.cfg" exist in the same directory as GameServer.exe ?
How about some credits from where you copied this guide :bad:

The 1.36 with the registration/license stuff is a totally messed up 1.34 with a virus. At least if its the archive i know.
And don't use random Item-IDs. If you ever upgrade to a newer version of the server that already contains those items (like the Bloodmoon Set) you will end up with a f*cked up database or you will...
Story-Quest: Like I wrote before -> most of the story-quest dialogues can be found in the Story-Quest guide on the ToP-Forum. They are listing the first 65 quests (until the one where you have to...
Regarding the Lv75/85 items: TOP/PKO Database
But like i said. In my opinion there is more important stuff than them...
Oh, and before i forget it...
The attached images show parts of the translated GameServer I'm playing around with (I only used a ressource-editor to extract the chinese-strings, translated them...
Sorry guys, I can't help much at the moment. My server died because of something i did and I don't know what killed it :-) I have to setup everything again later today and I won't have much time...
Why are you translating the charinfo? I already did it and it works perfectly... I posted the file a few days ago! The iteminfo seems to have errors but until now, characterinfo seems to be 100%...
Hmmm... wait till zukota releases the translated client. I've got the strange feeling that the bug is related to the fact that the Class is stored as plain text in the database... probably there is a...
Mostly just because I like the idea of having a perfect copy :-)
And some of the translations are really, really, REALLY strange *rofl*
But of course it could be a start to just translate them...
Nice work. I started with the forms a few minutes ago (as you can see in my other posting a few minutes ago ;-))
It seems like they changed the way certain things are done. Looks like they are...
OK, I finally find the reason the client crashes if you translate those particular lines in the StringSet.txt-file. Its because they are used to access certain elements of the GUI. You can change the...
You must edit your Gameserver.cfg... for example:
[code][
@keisky: The source code isn't released. Just the binaries.
And regarding the StringSet, again. I finally figured out wht causes the crash. It looks like the client crashes as soon as the lines...
Regarding the "StringSet.txt" Files:
The english file can't be used as it is! I don't know why, but if you just copy it, the Client crashes (even when you delete the additional lines that are not...
OK, lots of replies ahead ;-))
@zukota: If I copy the StringSet file to my client it crashes, too (like terzo reported)
@adahen: The database-dumps are somewhere in the server-dir (search for...
Probably there are wrong items in there... I've noticed that the auto-rations don't work, either (you get a sword if you use the auto-ration-ID)
I'll look into it later today. I've got an idea on...
Sorry, but this doesn't work. Only a few NPCs have own entries in the characterinfo-file. Most of them (like the Newbie Guides) share the same characterinfo-entry. So currently there is no other way...
@Sjikke: The NPC-Names are server-sided (like I wrote before). I attached the NPC-data for garner to this posting (just copy the file to the resource\garner directory)
I used the NPC-list from...
Exactly, terzo. GM is account-based, not char-based.
@Sjikke: the NPCs aren't stored in the client-bin-files. But I've got an idea. I'll see if I can translate them easily.
There is no english version.
But zukota and I are playing around with the various data-files. Generally, there is the chance to translate the game from chinese to english.
The attached...
The attached file contains the automatic translations. I'm not sure if everything is 100% OK but it could be a good start.
Just copy all files to the resources directory of the server. After you...
I'm working on the automatic translation of *.txt files. I'll post more infos later today or tomorrow.
AAAARRRGGGHH!!! Zukota!!!! It took me days to figure that out without a debugger... Just remove the last 4 Bytes and move the last 28 bytes to the beginning of the file and you get readable graphics....
