100% English noob-Friendly Setup guide and Files

Welcome,

My name is TheSnowman and about 5 months ago i started writing a guide for the cabal community. Well i got a job so i had to Temporarily leave this wonderful community to earn money to survive. So my guide got put on hold.

Well now im back, and have decided to do a Instructional Video on how to set a Cabal Server up. All the other videos are either Chinese, Bad quality, or very fast and hard to follow. In this i walk you through the steps, Make mistakes to show you how to fix them, and cover basically every aspect you need to know for setting up a Cabal Online Server.

The movie will be in Chapters. Chapter One will cover Installing a Client, Installing VMware and unlocking it, Installing MSSql 2005 server, Installing MSsql 2005 Management, and installing the database. Chapter Two will cover Installing Centos, Installing the Server files on Centos, Patching your Client, And starting the server. Last but not least, Chapter 3 will cover how to make Fixes, How to make it more stable, how to get a website going, how to get a paypal going, and how to get your server known.

In Each Chapter i will provide the files i used. So it will be easy to follow along and learn.

The only thing i ask is Please do not ask when the next chapters will be released. I will try to get the chapters done as quick as possible and give an ETA on when the next will arrive.

Warning: I suggest getting a rapidshare premium account before starting. $10.44 a month USD, or 6 pounds for Europeans. I will only be uploading to Rapidshare, so please dont even bother asking for mirrors. It will take a long time to download everything you need from Rapidshare as a freemember, and trust me all the guides, well most of them are uploaded to rapidshare.

I have removed the vmware link as it contains a keygen and that is against rule 21. Using illegal copies of VMWare is totally unnecessary as VMWare server is free and perfectly capable of running the centos virtual machine, i am using this method myself.

Hey i has no rapidshare so i'm here to ask a question since u mention noob-friendly in ur thread What ip should i put in centos?

That is the way darkxl handles the vmware download and none of the mods have spoken out asgainst that method so that would be fine. Why use an illegal version at all when a perfectly good free method (vmware server) exists though?

When installing Centos use the Automatic DHCP option. I find it works better for configuring. And you dont need a Rapidshare account to DL. You can use the Free Option.

Because its not illegal, it is just unlocked. You get way more options, faster communication speeds, and more stuff i havent discovered. It may be Illegal on this forum but companys dont find the use of Keygens Illegal.

Using keygens is not just against RZ rules but it also happens to be illegal in almost every part of the world too so you are ever so slightly wrong there. You might want to read up on that before you start getting funny letters in the mail because i can promise you that software companies think keygens are very illegal and if they find you they tend to try and prosecute you. They pretty much always win too.

Ok well every pc i have ever had, and all the programs i have had on them were unlocked with Keygens. Yet i have never gotten introuble. So i dont worry. Even Adobe hasnt caught me.

Some are text. Some are visual. Not everyone can read something, take it into mind, and learn it. Some people are Visual Learners.

How long more do you need to solve your WinSCP problem? Its been more than 1 week.
