Hi,
here is my tool, it makes .o3d to .obj.. but not every file works.. (but almost every one)
there is no back conversion, so you can only export the models..
here i put it in cinema4d
please have fun xD
oh and i release it because i lost interesst atm for that thing, so don't expect a full converter or something from me next time..
also take a look into the readme (its short, i hope it clears question)

I worked on the next version and i guess it now is "useable". It's still not complete and in testing phase. I hope it helps you, altough changing all those bones is a pain the assbut it was the only idea i had about changing bones.

i guess armor helmets are importable, too (if i remember correctly they have no animation)
