8590 Bug and Money

We all know that number, yes 8590. Where you may use it to buy lots of items priced over 400k-500k for a much less than expected. Then there are servers with the tons of money, oh yes. My point is, it makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever to increase the money in ItemGroup. All you are doing is setting your server up to the inconvenience of players. If players complain then its their problem, any real KalOnline player would know it doesn't matter how much money drops from monsters. If your monsters drop 10 times more than international, then most likely items will cost 10 times more with the exception of things like Medium Medicines. If you would like to stop the abuse of using the 8590 glitch on your server, simply reduce the price of items and reduce the amount of money dropped.

There you have it, 8590 glitch fixed, you won't have to sacrifice making items single, and your players will also never get the maximum amount of money which can be allocated in one spot. (Maximum for a 32-bit signed integer.)

In short, that means you have a perfect solution for this bug. Do not complain about it, ask questions about it, or simply use it as an excuse. You don't have to have an item costing millions in shop, it's that you want to.

no one will enjoy a private server where geon rate is same as internationnal. my money used to go for medium medicines all the time. the thing about private server is to create an environnement better then international where people will have some challenge but should have a minimum of prosperity.
But i agree that it is rediculous to sell items in a shop for millions.
maybe the answer is somwhere in the middle

Easy - Reduce the costs of normal items from the prices that International uses.

There is just no point in increasing the amount of Geons dropped.

I know that there is not point in doing that but I bet if a new server starts with the amount of geon which you posted to fix the 8590 bug they wont play on this server , like they logg in : blah low money cya.

Not if all the good servers have low money, its like experience. People say 10 times experience rate is way too low, but in fact its not. If you look at 10 times compared to something like 50 times, the server with 10 times is going to be able to produce many more new monsters which give varying experience, the server with 50 times is not going to be able to do that seeing as though there is a maximum amount of experience that can be given from a monster. It's the same principle with Geons, think about it. If you have lots of rare and useful items and you have say 100 times Geon drop rate. Prices for those are going to be reaching into the hundred millions to the billions. If you have the same Geon drop rate as international, this won't be a problem as rare items will only make it into the high ten millions.
 
To be honest.. the best servers are the ones with maybe 5-10x xp and be honest, the best servers are the ones with 10x drop and exp, why? because when you have 100x exp you need new weapons every hour, you need to upgrade again, it's just not fun.

On a server with low money, low exp, low drop there is a challenge, and that is the reason most people play games. If you go up to someone on a 100x exp and drop server and say something like "Whoa check out my cool new bow", they probably won't care to much because you could get it within an hour of killing, but on a server like At's was, it was a challenge, took me like atleast a week to get to 61+ and that was really fun, I enjoyed to 2 weeks I played there better than the 2 years I played on hanin.

Also another way to stop that bug abuse is to set everything about 400k, so that they can only buy 1 at a time.

yea would be "too bad" for ur server too, although i do agree with ur idea Izu. personnaly my geon rate is international x2, if they don't like it, they can go elswhere. I played 3 weeks on KalQuayr a french private server, and it was the best 3 weeks of my kal experience, their geon rate was low, u could buy g60 for 7-8kk,and xp rate was x10 i think.
 
^^ i just make prices under 2k for all items in the NPCs then make the TAX 105% so that this bug wont work try thats n Tell me

So wat is the TAX there ? if it is 100% so yh it is a new way but if it other thing so it still like mine i dont make the plural thing just make prices not high and tax 105% and it works fine :D

i make rebirth for 25k so when u type 8590 i think u gonna get low price like 6500 geons but when u tried to buy u wont get them if u havnt in ur inventory about 215kk so the hacker will fucked up lols :D
 
ppl suck and don't think logical, KingIzu's idea will work.. people won't put items in shop for 500kk if mobs drop 50 geons a bag.. ^^

Yes right. But this is our prespective.

The problem is that some players (Not to say most part) want to have ALOT MILLIONS!! CASH CASH CASH, MONEY MONEY MONEY!!! And get disapointed when the mobs drop few and so on.
