A3 server can run in linux?

i think the topic say it all.....

i still trying to understand the install process in winxp

maybe a noob tutorial, (step-by-step) would help noobs who have good connection and hardware to make good servers for this comunity


and.. another question, theres is a way to intall a3 server on winxp sp1 ????
i read the server instal tutorial and to be honest (or noob) i dont understand well

u won't be able to run a3serv on linux, cause it can run only with ms sql 2000
and u cant run that on linux (even under wine)

but yes, u can run it on wXP+sp1 .. but i won't recommend running any game serv
on wXP ... better run it under w2k or w2k3 (less problems, and more stable)

did u do exactly what was written in manual ?
u have everything on d:\a3server folder ?
do u run all server files from shortcuts ? if yes, change IP's in the shortcuts
i think thats the most common problem .... if not...sry..search in my earlier topics

i have iverything on the right directories, (as installl guide says)
but i dont know that i must execute the files by shortcut, im justing executing then in this order

ASD7770 -ok
ASD8880 -ok
ASD9990 -ok
LOGINSERVER, -ok
LOGINAGENT, -ok
ZONEAGENT, -ok
MAINSERVER, -ok

ACCOUNTSERVER, -MainServer.RunServer() fail!!
ZONESERVER , -all ok except for the last line -MainServer.RunServer() fail!!
