adding new items

How can i add items i made myself to the server? i know how to put things in .vfs files but i don't know how to get them ingame

can someone tell me how to or make a tutorial?

You can put the file into the .vfs and replace an existing file with it, but make sure to make a backup of the .vfs file. I don't know how to add whole new items to it.
