We are a small group looking to expand our resources for Alicia Online 2.0 (Korean online Mario Kart clone with horses. This version is different to the 1.0 version and closed very early). There is a huge lack of other Alicia servers, and no open source. Goal is to eventually have a server release and hopefully recover much of the assets so that they can be modified and used in other programs. Many of us would like to see the game live on.

Currently have 2 people in the group doing what they can in their freetime such as reverse engineer protocol, bug fixing, writing additional tools for modding the game files/assets, and getting the game to run on linux. We already have some tools developed that can view the animations in Renderware and patched out the anti-cheat (game used to use Hackshield) but there is much work to do.

If you have similar skills and experience in servers, Renderware, or other (including questions/ further discussion), don't hesitate to DM me here, Discord @ (Statoco #6622) or submit an application at the link (preferred).

You may also post in this thread, and I will get back to you. Thanks.

Upping old thread (since its still being recommended) Some additional specifics/requirements to further progress with the project:
Looking for programmers with different skill sets.
Web developers capable of writing progressive web apps,we could use your help to build software for artists where they could modify the game assets and translate the game.
Application would connect to local websocket that is hosted by the modded game, and of which API allows you to modify the assets directly.
Software engineers capable of writing mods for the game, through our C++ SDK. The C++ SDK is quite limited, but it will eventually support everything that we need.
Software engineers capable of writing servers and server software. Sofware engineers capable of writing tooling for the forgotten and unsupported asset formats. Reverse engineers capable of discovering game functions, asset formats, patching the binaries and fixing bugs. Your help could help expand the C++ SDK and help the server engineers as well as the tool engineers to build better software.
