all my friends can connect but not me

yeah um i've seen this problem before and i dont know how to go bout doing it. can someone help me so that i can have people play from lan and over internet?

People connect outside of your LAN with your external, you all connect with localhost, I believe.

I only solve this problem some days ago. So... this is what i do:
For example: I set my server IP with NO-IP address to friends connections (if you don't know about this, search for info or access

To view the content, you need to sign in or register

). To play, if i put the no-ip address in my REALMLIST file i can't connection, login ok but back to realm list windows all the time. So... you need to set this address in HOST file under WinXP (\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc - note: this file dont have extension). Just open this "HOSTS" file in notepad and set in last line something like this:

lan IP from server <space> the no-ip address (set to your internet access)
for example [b]192.168.0.10        myserver.no-ip.org[/b]

Save, put myserver.no-ip.org address in REALMLIST file and have fun!!!

Add a second realm with the ip set to 127.0.0.1, this one will work for you but not for them

or just make sure your realmlist.wtf is set to 127.0.0.1 and than you can connect al the other tings are not needed
