So we haven't really been fair to the Rap/Hip-Hop/RnB genre. So in order to be fair, and hopefully widen the music lounge user base, I've decided to create this thread.

Note that this is only for people who like rap/hiphop/RnB and enjoy talking about it. If there are any posts such as, "Rap sucks!" or "I Hate Rap," or anything of that nature, the post will be deleted and the user will receive an infraction.

Again, this is only for the positive conversations of Rap/Hip-Hop/RnB, and maybe a chance for people to convert over to the dark side. ;)

lol what about our lovely RnB :)
Rap + RnB is good hehe ^^

hehe ty :P
But i doubt theres any other people that have same taste like me :)

all i have to say that... it's good when it's good. there's some crap, there's some valuable rap. people hate it because they're mistaken by mainstream crap, if you wanna understand why some people love it, you should listen to some older records.

the peoples problem is... they dont actualy listen to the wrods of the rap and then they dont understand it.

like.. hmm... eminem - like toy soldiers, my mum just waits for the sware words and listens to nothing else so she can get up and shout at me for listening to it haha lol

Hip hop is dead by nas is well good and i like most of nas and eminem and 50 cent they are all the best  so dont worry there be around for ever.

Old school rap is good, it has a story, its trying to make you think. But newer rape tends to be pure and utter nonsense. Sex,drugs, money & cars. A great example of this would be; Rich Boy - Throw Some D's. To be honest the man can't even pronounce the A ("Ah") sound, so every time he says Cadillac it comes out "Cadilick".

The ironic thing is the very first line in the song "I used to think about immature things", and then you listen to the song and try to figure out what its purpose was meant to be. None. If your going to listen to rape you have to go with someone worthwhile like Jay-Z, Tupac...well you know this list.

Now R&B on the other hand is great stuff, it almost always has a story and never dives into the stereotypical nonsense that newer rape does.

The only real hip hop / rap is the oldskool .. it really has some lyrics and a point in it .. as gangstarr sayd " Hip Hop is not what it is today " .. and thats totally true .. cuz all the hip hop stuff i see today is only talking about How much money they have, how fat rides, girls etc .. but Oldskool stuff such as BIG, Pac, Rakim, gangstarr, Krs-One, NWA and others.. really talk about life and their tracks have a point ..
