That's "Plusquamperfekt". AJ be more specific please, there are 2 past tenses, the one I've mentioned and the "Praeteritum/Imperfekt" aka simple past. That would be "Ich lernte". Your sentence and tense is completly correct though Pieman.

I assume that you already learned the "simple past" tense. Write 5 sentences in German and I'll tell you whether they are right or wrong and correct them, if necessary. :tongue:
