Anyone know a video creating/editing software.

Before you go posting Sony Vegas and stuff.
First I'm using windows so no Final Cut.
Second, I have Sony Vegas but you have to make clips yourselfs and besides I can't open up big files like movies or else it just doesn't load.
So I'm wandering how come every video editing software does not have that simple feature that Windows Movie Maker has, to create clips automatically.

So if anyone knows any software that can create video clips automatically I'd sure appreciate it.

I mean big videos turn red and can't build peaks.
