[Ascent] Equipped Not Showing

Hey everyone. I have made a bunch of custom NPC's and mobs etc. I wanted it to look cool so I gave them weapons to wield. NPC's work great but their weapons don't show up. I used the ADE (Ascent Database Editor) and i chaged the left hand and right hand ID to the model ID of a weapon. I also tried the actual item ID for the weapon and no luck. What I got are NPC's that run over and punch you.....And I want it to look alot better then that lol. It seems like every so often though the weapon flashes in the hand of the NPC but very rarely. Any idea why this happens? I even tried using a NPC creator other then ADB and stil lsame probelm.
