[Ascent] NPC Walk Through Walls...Why?

Me and my friend were walking through a mine and NPC's started walking through walls and attacking us. Can anyone shed some light on why NPC's can walk though walls and maybe a way to fix it?

Ascent doesn't have collision detection.
