Seems like the sticky doesnt get updated that oftern so i thought id upload the latest rev of ascent (2445) if anybody wants it, just the basic files.

Not too sure how to compile the scripts but i know this works, i use my own compiles all the time, but like i said, not too sure about the scripts.

anyways hope this helps

Edit:

I can probs supply a new rev each day if people r interested? if people would use it i'll do it, if not i'll just keep my compiles to myself

Is there a changelog or anything posted for the new revisions? I download the new revisions from the sticky thread and install them whenever I notice a new version is out, but I honestly have no idea what it's adding/changing/fixing :P

I second demotion :D
That's what I was wondering too. I always get the new rev whenever I saw one then change my server files with it. But really I don't know what's had been fix or updated.
No offense to the fixer/releaser. But it would be great if you could put some note what's had been added or fixed.

God Bless

Lol I update my post every other day if not every day. Also, learn to read:

Check the forums under subversion commits. I give you a guide on how to use the files and the files necessary to run a server. If you can't go there and look for yourself, God help you. Not trying to be a dick here, but you guys have to account for some things. I have a life, don't expect updates 24/7. I do what I can.

As it is I update every other day and when I can every day.

Ah nice, never noticed the subversion commits board there, thanks. I just got into this whole WoW server thing a few days ago. Give me a break ;) Also, thanks for the guide. Super easy to follow and I had my server working in minutes.

....sry for tryna help, i check the sticky everyday and its been on 2424 for awhile now so i thought id upload 2445 seeing people havnt noticed the subversion comments which i still havnt

My advice is to find a sticky somewhere on setting up the proper SVN software on your PC, download the latest code, compile it yourself, and then you can check out the changelog going back to beginning of time, or at least the beginning of Ascent.

It's not nearly as tough as you might think, and it's actually a learning experience at the end of the day. I now run directories to pull down the latest stuff for Ascent, NCDB, and a few other cool little script repositories that you will likely never see anywhere else.

Actually, just wanted to say that its good that some one keep posting updated Ascent & NCDB db revisions often.

As i keep checking these a couple of times every day.
My bandwidt is about as razorthin as it's a satelite connection, it takes me the better half of an hour to just download an update / revision

Been hooked on Grandmst & Paco's repacks, quite happy when they post new ones, but when there are no new ones, i start getting the shakes :winky:

So keep on posting and Grandmst yah slackah were's ma daily fix.

//Kneron
And yes, i'm on an ass razorthin bandwidth so repacking, downloading and uploading isnt really an option until i can get back home.
Satelite crap ISP (but its free) :2gunsfiring_v1:

It isn't exactly necessary to download every individual update, but I guess if it's easy for you to update (it's not for me because I run 3 servers) then there's nothing wrong with it.
Cut Grandmst some slack, we're working on something special that'll take a while to get done.

No problem, giving people a new revision helps the community.

Very true. I've learned a lot from reading over everything to do with Ascent.

Yea I'll update when possible.

Right, you don't need every update. My suggestion is to update only when there is a major problem (can't swim). Otherwise update every 30 or so Revs.

Read in between the lines Jab and chill.
It was meant as a fun remark, Grandmst has done an amazing job with the updates & revisions.

Guess every ascent rev is not an update....or is it ?

Yes fixes are in some case minor, and yes i dont think one should expect that every revision is compiled. But this thread is about a new compile done since our repackers are prolly busy with something else or just taking a day off.
Whatever, whichever, i'm just glad someoen else posted.
*issues a chill pill to Jabster

I try to update mine as much as I can, but most of the time, I get a little upset when Burlex releases a revision while I'm in the middle of compiling.
