Assistance needed with SQL setup Mir2

hiya,

ile admit it now, iam complete noob with sql and iam trying to setup the files for offline use at the mo but because i have limited / no knoledge of sql iam now getting this message in the m2 server and i dont know how to solve it

[01/04/2007 12:08:38] StartTimer exception: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot open database requested in login 'lom2_chardb'. Login fails

if anyone could kindly point me in the correct direction it would be greatly appreciated

ive fixed this now sorry to be a pain

You need to change the name of your database in your !setup which is in your m2server folder and your dbsrc.ini which is in your dbserer folder.

you need to edit this bit

[SQL]
SQLType=mssql
SQLHost=localhost
SQLPort=3306
SQLDatabase=
SQLUsername=
SQLPassword=

yeh all done now mate, but thanks, i was following the guide on here and it just didnt want to play ball lol

so searched that error from the m2 and hey presto found the guide ive linked in my first post, and it works perfectly
