I thought i had fixed it but no ......... :(
No matter what i do mining does not give out blackironore.

I have checked in eiserver.exe for blackstone and did find one entry that said bstone which i corrrected.

My !setup.txt also has:

blackstone=blackironore

I just cant seem to suss this out.

I have tried many times to get another copy of eiserver.exe but no one seems to have one that is fixed I can find.

BTW mine is old MSRF one.

Has someone got a eiserver.exe that works with blackironore and mining please :)

Or possibly a copy of the relevent hex entries needed to make blackore work please

Thanks.

I have looked into eiserver.exe it mentions blackstone, goldstone, silverstone, copperstone, steel stone.
@

In !setup.txt this is converted to:

Blackstone = BlackIronOre
CopperStone= CopperOre

and so on...

If I search in eiserver.exe for any further entries of copper or black ore (bearing in mind neither of these drop in the mines on my server) I find different entries depending on which eiserver.exe i search.

0005d10h: blackore
0005d20h: coppore

or in another eiserver.exe

0005d10h: BOre
0005d20h: Copper

I cant undertstand why these are different and also why it is these two items i have trouble with. and why these are also found separate. Yet gold or any of the other ores dont have a extra entry like the copper and the blackiron ore.

If poss could someone checkout their own eiserver at these points and give me the hex details please.
Thanks

Nor do I.
Untill someone can check from a valid eiserver.exe I dont know what the correct
entry should be :(

Both BlackIronOre and copper ore dont work and yet both have that extra entry.
Seems a little strange.

Now I am confused lol

With Ultraedit-32
000e5d10h: 08 00 00 00 42 6C 61 63 6B 53 74 6F 6E 65 FF FF ; ....BlackStone˙˙

If it is supposed to be Blackstone should it not be:

000e5d10h: 0A 00 00 00 42 6C 61 63 6B 53 74 6F 6E 65 FF FF ; ....BlackStone˙˙
000e5d10h: 0A
A= 10 letters ? Blackstone

or should it be:
000e5d10h: 08 00 00 00 42 6C 61 63 6B 4F 72 65 FF FF FF FF ; ....BlackOre˙˙
8 letters.

Sos if i m fussy, im just trying to clarify it m8

as niether seem to work for me lol

Maybe I need to mine longer Hehe

Seems blackironore and copper are rarer than a new, english, eiserver.exe from korea, certainly on my server :)

Ta for your replies :)

Well I have tried everything and my mines still dont produce copper ore or blackiron ore. :(

My setup.ini file entry is:

GoldStone='GoldOre'
SilverStone='SilverOre'
SteelStone='IronOre'
CopperStone='CopperOre'
BlackStone='BlackIronOre'

Other than the hex edits in eiserver for which I never seem to get an accurate
readout of what they should be.

Diff peeps and diff eiservers, i never get 2 that say the same. :(

Anyone that definately has these ores dropping in the mines could you please confirm the hexcodes, or even let me a copy of your eiserver.exe.

On another note, is their any other reference to these ores in the server files ?
besides the database ?

I have added blackironore into my drop files and they drop fine and work in refining.

strange how I can never get either copper ore or blackironore yet the rest work.

Thx

My test with mining went as such - i armed myself with pick axe (steel) and so forth and mined for 2 hours not one piece of BIO and i checked all the names to death. Now this can mean one of two things, i have the name wrong or BIO is so rare its unreal and maybe you got to mine for 50 hours to get some bits. I noticed on most server files that BIO is in the shops - ive seen people add them to drop files on mobs and so forth.

Now there must be a hex i bet on the rare-ness of BIO in the mines... personally I gave up on the idea...

Thx :)
at least I am not alone with this problem.
For a while there it looked like it was only me.
For now I have added Bio in drop files but it aint a cure. :)

I have managed to fix this now.
In eiserver.exe check for an entry using an hex editor that mentions:

0005d10h: BlackOre
0005d20h: CoppOre

If this is how they are spelt then go to your !setup.txt ans look for the entries

Blackstone =
Copperstone=

Change the entries to match how it is in your eiserver.exe

Blackstone =BlackOre
Copperstone=CoppOre

Then do the same in your Items database.

Mine now works and the blacksmith accepts Blackore and refines ok now.
