Well, recently my PSU has blown.

Atleast, I'm pretty sure its my power supply.
It was smoking & was quiet hot & smelt like.. burning then boom, PC shut off.
Now when I go to turn it on.. nothing.
So I'm pretty sure it's the PSU.

Now I have a few questions before I go out a buy a new one.

Is there anything specific I should look for?
Compatibility wise etc.

Now, I'm not very experienced with the installation of a power supply (That's what next year is for, Class FTW)

But it seems pretty straight forward, Any tips appreciated.

BTW, The new PSU should come with instructions for where the cables etc go right?

Cheers, Exploit.

Uh ... make sure you get a PSU that has ENOUGH power to power all of your computer. If you have somewhat of a gaming computer, get a PSU with at least 450 watts ... maybe 500. Because might have to power a video card, and so on. No there isn't any instructions that come with the PSU, but it DOES come with the motherboard instructions. So just leave the old PSU where it is, and just write down where the other cords and hooked up in. If you need help email me.

KK ty, Well the PC is a hunk of crap (Not really even worth replacing any parts.... BUT I don't have the money to get a new one)
It had a 250W I think.. getting a 350/400W one.
So should be fine.
