I cant belive it.......

Today ive been looking at ADSL in my area to see exactly how long it would take to come to my area. Guess what i found....... ADSL at the moment will NEVER!!! be comeing to my area.

BT have a system where enough people have to register intrest before they install the equipment in the local exchange. There is also another stage before this.

Im on the stage before the 'registerd intrest' stage. They need 200 people to be intrested b4 they start even 'thinking' about upgradeing my exchange. My area has 98 people registerd..... In my village alone there are well over 5000 people. And this is for a whole area.

HOW CAN I BE THIS DAMN UNLUCKY!!!!!!
Every single person that lives in my area must be like 99years old and not even know what a computer is.

What really REALLY takes the piss is that in one month my m8 that lives down the road (4 miles awey) is getting ADSL.

IM SERIOUSLY FUCKED OFF!!!!

NEVER LIVE IN A VILLAGE!!!! thats all i can say

It costs so much its not even worth thinking about. + its worse than BB. (if its thundering etc etc). Atmospheric interfirence seriously effects the sending and reciveing of info

I know the feeling a freind of mine who lived just outside Leeds can't get ADSL yet I live in a small town 12 miles outside Leeds and I get it.

I know its not fair hun but u own me in PvP and I'm on BB ur pc makes up for your lack of connection - trust me I am an angel afterall

My PC is total shit . My dads PC is :hail: god :hail: . I dont have EI installed on that yet tho . + im not allowed to so im screwed there.

The only reason i owned almost everyone at PvP in mir2 was coz it dident require much of a connection to be speedy. EI sends and recives ALLOT more thus makeing it hard to play on a 56k / 64k.

hehe ok go to www.bt.com/broadband click on the campaigns button on that site read up on it pretty interesting

basically bt are poopie at advertising the availabilty and the fact that there are trigger lvls atm when ppl ring they basically get a yes or a no

wellll this gives you a chance to spread the word set a campaign up and request the leaflets to be sent out to your area it will help loads oh and think your self lucky i need 300 ppl on my exchange

oh and u say unlucky sorry but stfu its a fact of numbers it cost money to upgrade exchanges i think its like

im in the same boat as you but ive found my self a paddle your simply gonna sink without a trace unless u take up the challenge your self

just to give you a bit of hope trigger levels and role out will be reveiwed and speeded up in jan/feb 2004

ps if you havent guessed i work at bt opposite the broadband north east team

Ok i dident know you worked for BT m8. Just saying that they havent even set a trigger level in my area yet . Yeah i was stressed b4. Makes me angry knowing that people that dont live that far awey from me get BB and i dont . In the mean time the best i can get is 64k ISDN.....

i jokingly threatened to hold the broadband team at gunpoint till they enabled my exchanged the week after they set my trigger level they say it had nothing to do with it i say they got scared :evil::rofl:
