Cant loggin to "Localhost" on Navicat

I have recently come into some problem when i try to create my rose pserver. I have installed Navicat just now, but when i try to connect to "Localhost" it doesnt let me, i put everything that is needed into the new connection setup, but it doesnt work. Please help me

im exatly the same, im getting "2003-cant connect to MySQL server on localhost ( 10061 ) as the error msg, any help is appreciated.....

i've fixed my problem. garrynicol69 you must install mysql 5.1 and then run it, when it gets up to the part that it asks for a custom server protection unclick all the choices. Finish installing mysql 5.1 and Then run Navicat, and it should work

ok next problem iv got now is that when i click the 3 exe.s ( loginserver, charserver and world server i get a does boz with another error msg in it and click any buton to continue, is this supposed to happen? if not any ides how to get rid of it, the error msg is somethnig like cant conect to myslq using root ...............

Make Sure Mysql Is Running.
And Make Sure That The User Has Full Database Permissions
Check That The Username And Password Are Correct
And Then Run The Server!
You Connect On Localhost
Users Connect On Ur Global Ip!

MAKE SURE WAMP IS RUNNING!!!!! if that aint it dont run well on mine it says connot connect
