Client keeps patching to newer version

Guys,

does anyone know how to prevent WOTLK Client from auto patch?

I have tried to update realmlist with address of my server, so the file looked like this:

------
set realmlist someserver.com
------

The problem was, if i removed the patchlist (or put there the address of my server), the game could not verify version and i could not login the game. If i left the patchlist set on US, game always tried to patch to newer version.


Any ideas?

Maybe u do start launcher at start of the game

u have to start wow.exe in ur wow directory not launcher.exe

i think thats ur problem

my patchlist is still wow-europe.com
and i use 3.0.8a on my server
