Thought lets share this with you guys because like some of u im using pre-compiled mangos and scriptdev2 and i want to keep my server as up-2-date as possible without compiling myself.
One of the problems of not compiling yourself is u usually end up using a clean compile without any patches.. and some of these are really a must have if u want to offer your players a playable world.

Below u can find links to Kapatejib's compiles for linux and win32 (2.4.3, 3.0.9 and 3.1.3) and cumulative patches if u want to compile your own. (The pre-compiled cores allready have these patches included!)
Don't thank me.. thank KAPATEJIb for compiling and sharing these!
Don't forget to download the needed library's and extractors you need for your revision in the additions folder!!!

Re: Compiled mangos & Cumulative patches (really updated lol)

Before i used the compiles above which includes patches i used MaNGOS Speed Compiles (compiled for dualcore x64 proecessors)
They are great clean compiles which i also never had problems with.
Maybe u prefer x64 compiles as the compiles above are x86.. but these speed compiles are without any patches except for ahbot.
(myself i prefer x86 with patches then.. to fix important things like warlock pets)

The best way to obtain these compiles is just register at the silvermoon forums and lookup the topic:

I can't share a link with files like above because the poster keeps updating his post with new url's for base packages (files like in additions folder above) and latest cores.

Re: Compiled mangos & Cumulative patches (up-2-date)

thanks for sharing :)
I downloaded latest mangos core, but i need ace.dll to start it. Can you share it too or something?
And btw what happened to mangos forums? Most forums are gone . I haven't compiled mangos for long time and I forgot their git adress x_x. Thats why i used your precompiled stuff :D

Re: Compiled mangos & Cumulative patches (up-2-date)

You can find those library's in the additions folder:

For the latest core u would need the file: Bins (7816+).rar
Im using the same compile at the moment as u can see below in my signature and i LOVE it!

And u maybe want this link:

Re: Compiled mangos & Cumulative patches (up-2-date)

I do not know if KAPATEJIb made a posted info somewhere about his compiles.
Only found his compiles on the official MaNGOS forums because he has these links in his signature.
But every compile he releases has its own readme file containing revisions and what he used to compile, it contains also a list of patches applied and scripts are included.

Oh incase someone wants to have the same compile but for 2.4.3 TBC server... below is his full signature:

Sure this should be possible... its the same when upgrading your amber to a newer mangos core rev or update your db.
Just execute the needed sql updates for characters/mangos and scriptdev2 and put the new files in the amber directory and edit conf files. (some of the patches require some extra info in the config files.. add that to yours or just use the new files)

But if u doing that.. a update for amber probally won't work in the feature without changing some things.
And well if u manage to do this.. u updated your server core and db manually and i think u don't need a repack anymore.
(Not that i have anything against amber.. its the best repack that exists i think. But if u can manually update your core and db's
u could keep u server better up-2-date then with a repack)

I would say just backup your databases... copy the amber directory.. and try it.
If you have problems u can always get your server back the way it was before.

Thanx Phandels

works nice!

The only problem is when i shutdown the server it show some messages concerning objects from PVPOutdoor patch, does someone have this same problem?
I saw that u use heisei instead of acid, is it better?

thx a lot

I having also some errors when shutting down.. maybe patch outdated or its the db im using i don't know.
Sorry wish i could help solve it.. but i have no idea, hope its gone in latest rev and with new db update.
If u really want a answer u have to ask the creator of this patch in the mangos forums i think.... or maybe KAPATAjb knows..

And for acid eventai vs heisei.. well that depends on your taste and what u want same as the world db.
I choose for heisei because their progress is faster.. more creatures and bosses scripted... but its just that... more..
I don't think bad about acid, their progress its slower but i agree they more blizzlike and the quallity is just better.
One day i maybe use acid again, but for now im happy with heisei... i just want more...

For EventAI i don't really care its not 100% blizzlike i just want more scripted then acid currently has... but for db i want as blizzlike as possible... its just a matter of taste and what u want.
I would say just try it when u have time.. u can always switch back again.

i dont know..., sqls from Kapatejib pack appears to be the same from the original outdoorpvp repo, but its not

found the error - there are 2 files to apply in db, slightly different from Kapatejib mangos_outdoor.sql - 1 should be applied to mangos table and another to sd2
mangos.sql
firebomb.sql (in sd2 table)

will try to apply they and see what happens

edited: strangely, the original files are outdated... Kapatejip sql are correct!

but still dont know what is causing those messages from pvpoutdoor objetcs

Well 2 creature and some object guid's used by outdoorpvp patch can't be found.. i guess the creatures/objects have a other guid in UDB.. but i have no clue which creatures or objects the patch needs or u would be maybe able to look them up and copy the row and use the guid's the outdoorpvp patch is looking for to fix this temporary.

I dunno if the creatures and objects this patch needs are missing in UDB.. or they just use other guid's...
Or maybe this patch is intended for some other db? I did not try these compiles with another db yet.. tried ytdb and psmdb recently with the speed compiles.. but i did not like those releases and switched back to udb.

Warning: DO NOT USE REV 7900 from KapateJIB!
As soon as u type anything trough ingame chat mangosd.exe does crash.
(I do not know if this error is in original mangos core or only in this compile.)
I myself updated from 7900 to rev 7938 to fix this problem.

Don't think so.. just not compiling every release i think.. latest is from 1 juni and its only 3 juni now so i guess there 'll be a new one soon.

You should put mangos core bugs in Mangos forum, not here.

I think this bug has been already notified there

just follow the discussion about fixes

I think this post should be "stickied", cause the ones tha are stickied are outdated and this link is often updated with new mangos compiles.

Its alive because of Phandels help and our "bumps"

Hi

I wanne run the new core 7974 and when i do it gives me the following error message:

Loading Creature templates...
ERROR:Error in creature_template table, probably sql file format was updated (there should be 69 fields in sql).

And i got the latest DB aswell and when i wanne inport the new creature template.. it gives me:

/* SQL Error: Unknown column 'required_7908_01_mangos_creature_template' in 'db_version' */

Anyone who can assist me ?

Have u made all the core sql updates from the last version to this new one?

in this compiles u have to run all the sqls from "important" folder, which makes reference to the patches applied
