I'm planning to get myself new set of displays for my main PC and use current monitors for other setup.

Right now I got LG FLATRON L225WS and Panasonic VIERA x10 (37").

I looked through several reviews but can't exactly decide between anything.
I'm looking for 22"-27" displays (dual setup) preferably with HDMI ports. I'd like to keep it under 500£ per display.. Picture quality is the main factor as its intended for graphics design.

Any suggestions?

I'll be lurking in this thread. Also planning on getting two extra 24" monitors to fit next to my current samsung 2494HM (going nvidia surround).

You should have a look at the Dell Ultrasharp monitors. They're pretty damn good. Either the 24" or 27".

I myself am looking at Samsung mainly. I can get two Samsung BX2440 monitors for cheap, but I'm not too sure if I should do it or not.

Dell Ultrasharps are on the expensive side, and most dont have HDMI port, you can go with different brands, and i figure you would want one with higher contrast ratio considering the graphics design use

this one has a 100,000,000:1 Contrast Ratio

Acer H274HLBMID Black 27" 5ms Full HD HDMI LED BackLight LCD Monitor w/Speakers 300 cd/m2 100,000,000:1 Max (ACM) $299.99

or a 50,000,000:1 ratio

ASUS VE258Q Black 25" 2ms HDMI LED Backlight Widescreen LCD Monitor w/Display Port & Speakers 250 cd/m2 50,000,000:1 ASCR $259.99

and samsung is a good brand, but they only get up to 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, they are mostly for gamers or video editors for the fast response time
