Connecting to my server

I'm sorry if this has been answered but I searched and couldnt find it. I tried using FOX's guide and it worked perfectly except one part I didnt understand.


I dont know how to connect to my server. I'm using a VPS if anything is different.

I put my VPS's IP in the stuff and I downloaded the latest version of RO on my desktop computer. I got the hexed client and the sclientinfo.xml and put in my RO folder on my desktop computer, but I tried to run the client (XRay) and it pops up like 100 messages (exageration) saying I'm missing these files.

Also, I ran the server batch files and it connects with no errors.

If theres anything you think I might be doing wrong, please let me know.

Are you using data folder only? Or are you using a .GRF file as well? .GRF generally solves most problems concerning missing files at start up of RO clients.

use data first if u dnt make ur own grf.

for newbie use data. download data v3 or steal some data files on private server.
