Critical and resist spells problem

I have installed the latest db in my pc using latest version of ascent and i saw that criticals dont work very much in spells and half of the spells are resisted by the mobs.The critical shown in spell tab is negative(has a - in front of critical number).What shall i do?Using NCDB
