*cry* cut my thumb at work!

meh, I've always burned myself every once in a while at Atkins's Park Tavern, but damn I never would have thought to have slice my thumb open :'(. It didn't hurt, I just felt my thumb grind across the blade (no pics, as even I don't want to take the gloves off and the band aid off for it to bleed some more.)
however here's a picture of the kind of knife that it cut on

something like that, but the waves were deeper and spread apart further.

the cut isn't very big, but it's always the smaller cuts that bleed so damn much >_<

I wouldn't have cared it it was a chef's knife as those are smooth I probably would have taken some skin off. It's those damn bread/serrated knifes :\

Lol if I can help it I never use massive serrated kniefs, only if I'm in dire need for one then I'll use =p.

Man i hate it when i cut myself at work. I remember when i was cutting some Tomato's and this girl was watching me (a Waitress) so i was like look at me i don't need to look while I'm Cutting Something and while i was showing off it ended in a nice cut Lol. It was such a small cut but the small ones bleed to death and they hurt the most

But thats what your going to get if you want to work in a Kitchen

t.i.p. because the cut was deep, but not too deep and the way it was cut, it didn't hurt it just bled all over the place :\ (was making a salad at the moment, I had to trash the food, bleach the knife and the cutting board.)

Argh i hate those kind of cuts. Ive cut myself atleast 6 times since Ive been in the kitchen lol. Once i Cut myself badly it was a bad moment to cut myself as well right in Between Service lol so my boss didn't care about my Cut all she cared about was getting the food ready But if i was her i would say the same thing really lol.

I dont miss working with food. Had a job at a gas station once. We had a deli counter and did sandwiches and fried chicken. I was promised when I started I wouldn't have to do any serious cooking, just an occasional sandwich.

A few months later I'm leaving work covered in flour from working the cook's shift, and frying chicken all day. So yeah... cuts, hot oil burns, etc, was lots of fun.

Even if it didn't hurt, it still is no fun to bleed all over. Good thing you didn't need stitches
