DB Connection Error

Guys.

Our server is hosting in canada.
and i wanna connect it with chumpy in germany... i put in all the info i need to connect.
then i get a Error and he says make sure ip/hostname correct check pass and put out firewall..

all is correct and i cant connect it.... weird

anyone knows plz respond,, ^^

It is very likely that port 1433 (MSSQL) is blocked by a firewall so check that first. Also mssql 2005 express disables remote connections by default so if using 2005 check the surface area configuration in the startmenu and check remote connections are enabled.

Well My firewall and the host firewall is Off. we even Got rif of our anti-virus wich contains a firewall. and we enabled ports.. few times.. so its weird. but we try again ^^
