Dedicated server?

Hi all. I want to know where people host their private server. I asked a company, they said it's illegal and not let me to host it.
Please someone recommend a place to me.

hmm,i don't think that this is illegal,because it's open source,and blizzard has nothing to do with that,or someone else,because blizzard know there will never be an better server than the official , so blizzard don't care about private server's,so you can gladly make a wow server

Wow how wrong can you be?

1. Blizzard doesn't allow Private Servers
2. All Private Servers are illegal
3. It is Illegal
4. It's not open Source and Blizzard does have everything to do with it

Yes, it's illegal. I think Blizzard doesn't do anything with those private servers. Anyway, i just wanna know where to find dedicated server that i can make private server.

Like I posted in another thread about legality, Ascent in itself isn't illegal. Hosting Blizzard content is. If you want to host a private server, you'll need to get your own connection and box, or get a server in Asia, or Africa, or somewhere that Blizzard's copyrights don't reach.

Also, hosting any server publicly with MaNGOS is against their EULA. It is an open-source project designed to teach coders about large-scale multiplayer gaming server environments.
